Today was meant to be a rest day for all of us after a pretty busy schedule; however, we each ended up heading out to shop for various things that we have wanted to get. After a great sleep-in, Maureen and I headed out first, catching the train to Nippori Station. Nippori is also known as Fabric Town, and in Fabric Town, we visited the 800 metre long Jizo Dori Street which is affectionately known as the "Old Ladies' Harajuku" or more popularly known as Fabric Street.

Afterwards, we went a few stations further North to Sugamo, where I had researched that a 1/400 scale aircraft model shop existed...and it did, Gullivers Models. I even managed to pick up some great bargains. I'd like to say that Maureen stuck with me through my model shopping; but she went grocery shopping whilst I perused the many models.

An interesting observation for the day was that even though the sky was blue all over, and not a single cloud to be seen, the day actually starts to get dark at around 1530h. Also, the sun doesn't appear to get any higher than around 40 degrees above the horizon in the Southern sky.

Not many photos were taken today.
